The Freeman Marine 1140 Series Door is a heavy-duty, single aluminum panel, watertight door designed for commercial use on boats. It’s solidly constructed, fully insulated, and high quality, making it suitable for commercial, military, and yacht crew or machinery space applications.
Construction
• The door features a rugged knife-edge seal, robust silicone gasket, and floating durable hinges to provide a commercial watertight seal when properly adjusted and dogged closed.
• Thick aluminum panel skins (.160” up to .250”), extra internal reinforcements, welded construction, and screw fastened interior skin create the rugged closure required in a technical and machinery space individually dogged door.

Designed with quiet and durable urethane rollers, full perimeter felt seals and deep drainage gutters, Freeman sliders provide a regal entry for motor yacht flybridges and sailing yacht cockpits. Glazing can be done with mitered or radiused corners. Individual top and vertical panels separated by a sturdy, robust mullion is another option.
Flybridge sliders can be specified with two-tone paint and factory installed glazing. This allows the builder to merely prepare the rough opening sealing surfaces, bolt in the Freeman slider module, and install drain plumbing.
