Essential Functions for this role are:

  • Pre-glaze fixed windows, apply butyl tape, on all windows over 10mm get a heel bead
  • Pre-glaze D15’s (reverse slider, lift up and half drop), hair the inside channel and put track in the bottom of the window, place glass in and put the top track in
  • Glaze all fixed windows (pushing in rubber or hammering it in)
  • Caulk windows, Fixed windows and sliders that require it
  • Putting vents together (106 and 400 series) hair the vents for X and O, place handle on the X glass if it requires it, place vent rubber around the glass if it’ is not a glue in vent
  • Caulk all vents that require it
  • Glaze all sliding windows
  • Direct glaze
  • Make sure glass and frames are clean from all marks or dirt

Manual Machinist (Afternoon Shift)

AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada, is looking for a positive, energetic and driven person to join our Machine Shop as a Manual Machinist. Working as part of a strong collaborative team in our marine division, you will produce or repair precision parts using both manual and some automated equipment and accurate measurements.

This position will be working on our Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday from 2:45pm – 1:00am.

Essential Functions for this role are:

  • Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
  • Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job
  • Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
  • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages

At AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada, we are seeking a outgoing and technically strong Project Manager to join our Marine Manufacturing Projects Team to be lead n multiple pinnacle projects for high profile customers in the Marine industry.

As a Project Manager with AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada, you will be the key point of contact to customers from the kick-off to completion of their projects, and act as their Partner throughout the projects to facilitate change orders, identify and manage risks, identify creative solutions to problems and collaborate closely with sales to communicate updates on project status to customers.

This role will initially be based out of our Langley, BC facility but will be relocating to Chilliwack, BC in November 2018.

Essential Functions for this role are:

  • Acts as liaison to customer as well as collaborates with sales on all customer during projects
  • Responsible for on-sight client interface, entering and maintaining contract and Purchase Order line items

CNC Machine Operator (Afternoon Shift)

AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada, is looking for a positive, energetic and driven person to join our Machine Shop as a CNC Machining Operator. Working as part of a strong collaborative team in our marine division, you will be operating our CNC Machine to drill, grind and mill several types of materials.

This position will be working on our Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday from 2:45pm – 1:00am.

Essential Functions for this role are:

  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
  • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

As the Inventory Coordinator, you will partner with a Production Department to be their go-to for materials and parts. As a Purchaser with AdvanTec’s Marine Division, you will be responsible for full-cycle Purchasing of raw materials, supplies, equipment and services for our Manufacturing facility including sourcing, negotiating cost and ensuring supplies and materials are ordered in time to meet Production deadlines.

As part of the Purchasing team, you bring a high attention to detail with the ability to recognize and find solutions to discrepancies and issues in a logical and thoughtful manner. Essential Functions for this role are:

  • Providing full-cycle sales from quoted to won for existing and new accounts
  • Developing and providing accurate and competitive estimates to existing and prospective customers
  • Acting as a AdvanTec representative including providing quotes, answering questions, visiting client sites and resolving customer issues quickly and efficiently when they arise
  • Providing exceptional account maintenance and assuring customers’ needs are met diligently and quickly

AdvanTec Manufacturing is seeking a Field Service Technician to be our feet on the ground to support our clients and customers in the field by performing field service installations, start-up repairs and maintenance of AdvanTec marine products including windows, door, hatches and cranes.

As a Field Service Technician, you will travel the world working on a wide range of marine vessels; from navy ships to the largest, luxury yachts in the world. As this is a new facility, we are looking to bring on new team members who have a great attitude, willingness to learn and are excellent team players willing to help wherever needed and do what it takes to get products to our customers. As part of the training for this role, successful candidates will be required to travel to our Gold Beach, Oregon facility for 2-weeks of training.
