High standards: AMSE stamps

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) recognized worldwide, establishes strict standards for pressure vessels to ensure a high level of safety. An ASME stamp tells authorities, customers and industries that the manufacturer is dedicated to quality and safety and that the product been built tested in accordance with such practises. That’s why an AMSE logo on a pressure vessel is mandatory in many countries.

Advanced Flow Systems employs an experienced team of pressure-certified welders whose work meets or exceeds ASME standards to ensure our products are dependable, safe and of the highest quality. Plus, our in-house quality management system means our pressure vessel products come with these AMSE stamps:

  • ASME U-Stamp – certifies that the pressure vessel follows ASME requirements for design, construction, inspection and testing. The U-stamp indicates that the product complies with Section VII of the AMSE Code. It also confirms that the vessel was designed and constructed under ASME specifications.
  • ASME S-Stamp – allows manufacturers to build power boilers, power pipelines and ASME Pressure Retaining Parts according to Section I of the most recent copy of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
  • ASME R-Stamp – allows for the repair and/or alteration of boilers, pressure vessels, and other pressure-retaining items

Additionally, most insurance providers won’t provide coverage or may refuse a claim if the pressure vessel doesn’t have an ASME stamp.
